The Mountain View Presbyterian Church campus is located on Mountain View Road and North Hayden Road. Hansen renovated the 7,000 SF Sanctuary building, providing the infrastructure to upgrade the Audio, Video and Lighting systems. An existing storage room was converted to an electrical room for three new electrical panels along with a new AVL rack. A new fire riser room addition was built, plus the installation of a new fire suppression system for the building, which previously had no fire sprinklers.
All interior finishes and light fixtures in the building were replaced. The existing bathrooms were gutted and replaced with upgraded plumbing fixtures and finishes. A new ‘welcome center’ wall was constructed in front of the building with electrical and AVL infrastructure built in.
In the Sanctuary, roughly 300 SF of area was added to expand the existing Chapel stage. The Chapel stage flooring was replaced with engineered Maple flooring planks that extended down the stage and onto the main floor. New openings were built into the floor to house subwoofers, speakers, and floor boxes — all connected thru new conduit pathways for power and low voltage. Acoustic panels were added, totaling 1,400 SF on walls and ceiling to maximize the acoustical performance of the space with the new equipment. The existing wooden pews and cross were removed, protected and reinstalled after construction to preserve the heritage of the church.
