The Community of Grace Project consisted of two buildings, a 14,000 sf Worship Center building and a separate 4,000 sf classroom building. The Worship Center included a performance stage and large back of house support area, state of the art audio and video systems, stage lighting, green room and rehearsal area. The building has subsequently been used by professional musicians and performing artists such as B.J. Thomas, (Rain drops keep falling on my head) for recording and performance venue. The project site was 10 acres of on-site work and off-site work, including 50,000 cubic yards of cut and fill, one-quarter mile extension of Pinnacle Peak Road and 1,800 feet of 16” public water line.
The Hansen CM Group acted as a collaborative design assist partner in the preconstruction phase, which included phase planning, cost estimating, value engineering, alternative building systems analysis, scheduling, long lead item analysis and procurement, constructability review, permitting and early procurement of long lead items. Hansen took the project into construction and subcontracted 95% of the project scope to its trade partners.
